The Israeli-Palestinian conflict is one of the most serious conflicts nowadays. That's why the Palestine's situation also destabilizes the balance of powers in the world. The aim of this thesis is to outline possible solutions of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict by analyzing the history of the conflict and its most significant problems -- the disputes over Jerusalem, the situation of Palestinian refugees, establishing fixed borders between Israel and Palestine and also the issue of Jewish settlements. To solve these matters, however, the peace talks between Israel and Palestine, which are described later on in this thesis, must be renewed. Finding a definite solution is closely connected with the development not only in Palestine and Israel but in other Arab countries and the countries of the West as well.

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to bring closer the process of the establishment of the State of Israel as well as to find an answer to the question, how this historical event forms the contemporary relations within the Israeli community and within the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
